Our House System
We celebrated 60 years of Philip Morant School and College in 2025 and as a whole community considered new house names to serve the school for the next 60 years. The four house names chosen and being introduced for academic year 2025/26 were, Attenborough, Parks, Farah and Keller.

Attenborough House Sir David Attenborough has influenced the lives of many through the curiosity he has generated in his campaigns and documentaries. Linked to our STEM Academy, Attenborough House's motto is "curiosity", an essential ingredient for learning. |
|
Parks House Rosa Parks showed that it is possible for anyone to take an individual action that can change the course of history. Linked to our Global Academy, Parks House's motto is "bravery". A reminder to us all that in our very diverse community we need to be brave and stand up for what is right. We need to ensure that no person feels less valued than others. We need to be brave enough to make a small or very big difference through the impact of our actions. |

Farah House Mo Farah demonstrated his excellence and commitment not only with his double gold medals in the London 2012 Olympics, but throughout his career winning 19 track gold medals across all events. He moved to the UK at the age of eight in very difficult circumstances and is an inspiration to so many, especially to our students and families who have had to make a new life in the UK. Linked to our Sports Academy, Farah House's motto is "resilience". It takes resilience for us to overcome the inevitable challenges we face in life; his example inspires us towards a commitment to achieve. |

Keller House Helen Keller was an American author who campaigned for disability rights, having lost her own hearing and sight at a very young age. Linked to our Creative Academy, Keller House's motto is "determination". An inspiration to our deaf and blind students in school, but also to all of us showing that determination leads to success.
