See our co-curricular charter for our commitment to learning beyond the classroom.
We are committed to achieving the highest standards and delivering an holistic education and experience which prepare our students for the next stage in their education, training or workplace.

A life-changing experience. A fun time with friends. An opportunity to discover new interests and talents. A tool to develop essential skills for life and work. A recognised mark of achievement; respected by employers.
The DofE is many things to many people, supporting generations to successfully navigate adult life. 14 to 24 year-olds can complete a DofE programme at one of three progressive levels which, when successfully completed, leads to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
There are four sections to complete at Bronze and Silver level and five at Gold. They involve helping the community/environment, becoming fitter, developing new skills, planning, training for and completing an expedition and, for Gold only, working with a team on a residential activity.
Click here to visit the Duke of Edinburgh website.
Resources
Below are some helpful resources which outline each section of the Award and the timescales for completion.
The Brilliant Club is an award-winning university access charity that works across the UK. Its aim is to increase the number of students from under-represented backgrounds progressing to highly-selective universities. Students selected to join The Scholars Programme will experience university-style learning through seven tutorials and two trips to highly-selective universities. They will be supported by a PhD tutor, teaching a supra-curricular topic based on their current research. For more information visit thebrilliantclub.org or contact the school office.

If your child is able to demonstrate significant and sustained commitment to activities within or outside of school, please nominate them for a Philip Morant Award by completing the Nomination Form (Google Form version or PDF version).
