Music

Music is a significant part of all our lives. Our curriculum aims to deliver a rich and diverse appreciation of the wonder of music all around us, through understanding, performing and creating.  We aim to provide a curriculum which ignites a desire to engage with, and appreciate a range of genres, and make links through time with key musical concepts. Our focus is for all students to have access to an all inclusive curriculum with the range of skills required to achieve optimum musical understanding, the technical, the constructive and the expressive.

How can I support Music at home?

How can I support music at home?

  • Students can develop both their music theory and written skills at home through a variety of apps and games, as well as performing to friends and family.
  • Please encourage students to involve themselves with the wide range of extra-curricular clubs on offer. Students are welcome to loan musical instruments after asking for permission and parents/carers have completed a permission form.
  • All lessons resources can be found on Google Classroom and we encourage students to practise at home too!
