Behaviour, Attendance & Welfare

Our large pastoral team is in place to ensure our students feel they belong and are the best they can be.

They support their wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, and progress.

The first point of contact for every parent or carer and students is their form tutor. All tutor groups are based in the same area of the school and students meet their tutor each morning.

Supporting each year group we have a non-teaching year manager and a teaching year leader. In some year groups there are Assistant or Deputy year leaders.

In addition to the year group teams we have pastoral support officers who support the calm running of the school, assist with admissions, safeguarding and any more extended support required for students.

Our safeguarding officers and attendance officers provide expert support in these areas.

Our Ofsted 2023 report states:

"Pupils are happy here and feel well looked after. They know that staff are available ready with a 'listening ear'. New Year 7 pupils settle in quickly and respond well to staff's high expectations."
